Benchmark Analysis
Comfort International provides a risk-free process to identify and capture energy related savings with guaranteed results. The process begins with a complementary Benchmark Analysis where CI estimates the amount of savings that can be achieved. Ninety percent of existing buildings use 20%-50% more power than required when peak performance metrics are achieved. The inefficiencies are not perceived because the utility draw has been consistent since the system was installed. Indeed, vendors that perform installations are typically focused on getting units installed and turned up “on time and on budget”. They are not experts in lighting, control system software and efficient HVAC engineering principals, which prevents them to leveraging the system to its maximum potential. Typically ,CI’s Benchmark Analysis predicts a return on investment (ROI) of 2 years or less.
Energy Efficiency Management Study (EEMS)
If the savings potential is meaningful then the building qualifies for CI’s Efficiency Energy Management Study (EEMS), a robust monitoring and evaluation of both hardware and software systems detailing the corrective measures necessary to improve efficiency and amount of recurring savings that will be achieved. The EEMS deliverable is an investment-grade report where system monitoring results are detailed and crossreferenced with the data from the utility billing history. Unlike the typical low level energy audits using computer simulations & assumptions, our EEMS involves hundreds of hours utilizing our in-house seasoned professional engineers whom test, measure, and field investigate your entire building systems. Additionally, the EEMS outlines the corrective measures necessary to achieve the identified energy savings. If CI is given the implementation contract, then the energy savings identified in the EEMS and the associated ROI is guaranteed by examination of the utility measurements post implementation.
Implementation
The turnkey implementations typically take 2-4 months and are performed so there is no downtime to existing operations. CI’s work is guaranteed where it matters – – at the meter. We measure the post implementation energy consumption by examining the utility bills and comparing them to the records from the prior month and year.
LEED / Energy Star
Most LEED certification consultants operate under open ended consulting contracts with no associated recurring operational cost reductions or or guarantees of achieving the certification.
